Afro hair and Beauty Live 2013 - Internship

Hey everyone :)

So over the last few weeks I've been working alongside JJ.Rocks and Fashion Meets Music, all in preparation for 3 runway show at the Afro hair and beauty Show Live.

It was truly an amazing experience, I had a great time, meet some amazing people and was able to network. I even got a few offers from hair modelling people :).



Two of the shows both had 5 amazing designers showcasing gorgeous pieces involving floral, geometric, and afro prints one designers collection was even made from tree bark. Below are a few of my favourite pieces from some of the designers. There was loads more but unfortunately when your working you cant take a lot of pics :(

And the 3rd show was a dedication to the British Heart Foundation where we had to put on a Red & White themed show to raise awareness of the campaign. I helped customise some of these pieces so it was a great experience seeing my work go up and on stage and getting a lot of good feedback.

It seemed so weird to be behind the scenes as last year I was visiting (last years post) and this year I could see all the stress and chaos the come with a beautiful show. I still managed to grab some freebies doe :)

EOTD - My Go to Glam Look

I love how simple yet eye catching her outfits are, She always looks amazing and edgy. Yet still knows how to dress more sophisticated and classy for red carpet events. I like how she feels comfortable in pretty much anything and rocks it. Maybe its all down to her amazing figure, or confidence, what ever it is, I always want to have what she's wearing. She's actually up there with my ultimate style crush:Rihanna

Sheen Queen

Hey dolls,

So on the spring summer cat walk trends, one that has stood out to me is the 'Sheen' look

Heres a look at a few 'Sheen Queen' from the catwalk

At first I didn't know what to think of this trend, firstly because the material looked very heavy and not quit suitable for hotter weather. But hey in England we seems to still be in the winter/spring stage lol so it might not be a problem.  But after searching around on the high streets take on it I found a few beaut's which I think look gorgeous and bang on trend.

Hey Dolls

I've been away for ages, I've just had so much on my plate making me super busy. Been juggling work, Cheerleading, Family gatherings a week holiday in spain and attending christenings and weddings for so many people, March/April 2013 has been eventful. Which means I haven't had a moment to just relax and post any interesting post on here. But I'm back now :) Its been way over a month now, but feels like a lifetime and I truely do miss it.

 I dont know why the background has come up blue when I tried to upload them, very confused lol. I also added the original pics as i dont think my pictures are doing the items any justice x_x. But any way here are two off my O.O.T.D ideas and how I plan to style them.

Idea 2: pop of colour with Wet look leggings 

Idea 2: Monochrome look with Wet look midi skirt

So at first I couldn't decide if i wanted the leggings or the Midi skirt so i brought both, But I think I like the skirt outfit better, so I'll probably wear that today. Now i only need to think about my hair and makeup lol. Which outfit do you prefer?

Trashy Chic?

Hey guys,
So these are not new picture's (thank goodness lol) but I've come across this picture of Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez in this 'binbag' looking dress and thought I'd share it with you guys.

It reminded me of a theme party I attended in uni called ABC: Anything But Clothes, were we all literally made dresses out of bin bags and hazard tape, But that was for a party and we wouldn't consider wearing it on a normal day lol.

Rihanna Meet's Topshop: Spring Collection

Hey guy's
Is it just me or is everyone excited about Rihanna's new collection at Topshop. I Cant wait, as most of you may now, I'm a big fan of Rihanna's style which I've blogged about previously as 1 of my Style Crush which you can check out here: Rihanna.

Above are a few piece's from her collection. I'm loving the bold strippy pieces, they will defiantly make a statement, the skater skirt is defiantly on my wish-list :). The pop of yellow colour in the collection will be great to get for spring/summer season, as it looks very bright and cheerful. I also really like this collection in particular as she has created some great simple, yet classy pieces that will look great combined with piece I already have in my wardrobes which is a bonus. My favourite piece at the moment would have to be the long boots in the first picture.

 I'm not to sure if its going to be online in the States, but they will be in UK stores very soon. I can't wait :)
